The Twelfth Baptist Church Food Pantry’s mission is to provide a week’s supply of food to those who need food in our community. In doing so, we fulfill the Mission of Twelfth Baptist Church: “to extend the love of God.”
Fighting Hunger—Feeding hope
Twelfth Baptist Church shall address and minister to the social issue of hunger by providing nourishing food items to families within our congregation and surrounding community trusting in the Lord to expand our program as the need increases.
- Proverbs 14:31– Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.
- Proverbs 21:13–Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered.
- Matthew 25:34-36 — Then the King will say to those on his right, `Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
